Queen bee

Our queens are grafted and raised in-house and naturally mated within our own apiary to ensure quality, consistency, and strong local adaptation. We currently offer Italian hybrid queens selected through careful stock evaluation for superior genetics and performance.

Breeding selections focus on the traits that matter most to beekeepers: hygienic behavior, calm temperament, reduced swarming tendency, and a high, steady laying rate. These qualities support healthier colonies, improved productivity, and easier hive management.

Available options include:

• Freshly mated 2026 queens

• Unmated (virgin) 2026 queens

• Overwintered 2025 queens that have successfully survived winter conditions and demonstrated durability

Availability of newly mated 2026 queens is expected between May 1–15, depending on mating conditions and weather. Orders for queen cells and virgin queens will open beginning in March.
